President Donald Trump is shaking up the U.S. immigration system with a bold, pro-business plan – the introduction of a $5 million ‘Gold Card’ that will allow wealthy foreigners to live, work, and gain a pathway to citizenship in the U.S.

“We’re going to be selling a gold card,” Trump announced from the Oval Office. “You have a green card – this is a gold card. Wealthy people will be able to invest in America and become part of the greatest country in the world.”

The Gold Card program, set to launch in two weeks, is expected to replace the current EB-5 visa program, which grants green cards to immigrants investing at least $800,000 to $1,050,000 in U.S. job-creating projects. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, standing alongside Trump, emphasized that applicants would undergo strict vetting to ensure they are “world-class global citizens.”

Trump hinted that millions of these cards could be sold, bringing billions in investment to fuel American businesses, job creation, and economic growth. When asked about Russian buyers, he responded, “Possibly. I know some Russian oligarchs who are very nice people.”

With this America First initiative, Trump is revamping immigration to benefit the U.S. economy, ensuring only the best and brightest gain access to American opportunities.
