Usually, I’m slow to pick up on fads. I never got into pogs. I never owned a Tamagotchi. I am completely flabbergasted by the whole Pokemon Go phenomenon. That said, I got into riding my bike with the first wave of trendsetters.
Why? At first, it was just because I loved starting my day out in the crisp morning air, sailing past city traffic. I would arrive to work feeling calm and collected instead of frustrated and stressed out. That alone was reason enough to jump on the biking bandwagon.
More reasons to bike
Over time I found other reasons to love biking. I noticed myself getting stronger and my body getting trimmer. My wallet was a little heavier. I was able to save on gas money and even my gym membership. Less time at the gym meant more time for myself.
I’m also proud to be taking proactive steps to address my carbon footprint. It’s been many years since I started biking instead of driving and I can’t think of a single drawback. Here are five reasons to give it a try.
