They are very gentle on the system, and they’re a great source of fiber, especially if you eat them with the skin. They also contain many other nutrients and antioxidants, including magnesium, which is important for constipation prevention. Try roasting some with the skins on and enjoy them with a bit of coconut oil, a dash of cinnamon and a pinch of Himalayan salt.
