Heads up, chocolate lovers—there’s an urgent recall on two popular chocolate bars due to contamination with small stones. Tony’s Chocolonely, known for its ethically sourced chocolates, has issued a nationwide recall in both the U.S. and Canada following 12 consumer complaints.

The affected products are:

  • Tony’s Chocolonely Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt

    • Lot codes: 4327, 4330, 4331, or M4331

    • Best-by date: November 25, 2026

    • UPC: 850011828564 or 850032676441

  • Tony’s Chocolonely Everything Bar

    • Lot codes: 163094, 162634, or M162634

    • Best-by dates: February 28, 2026, or April 2, 2026

    • UPC: 858010005641 or 850011828908

The issue? The bars may contain small stones, likely introduced during the third-party almond harvesting and processing phase. While Tony’s Chocolonely stresses that the issue has been addressed, they’re pulling affected bars out of extreme caution.

If you’ve purchased these specific bars, check the packaging for the lot codes and best-by dates listed above. If your bar is included in the recall, do not eat it. You can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or safely dispose of it.

If you’ve already consumed the chocolate and are experiencing discomfort or symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
