With summer approaching I often wondered growing up, “What’s the deal with Summer Fashion?” Is it the sun or the sandy beaches that make us want to run out and buy a skimpy outfit? Before I started my journey to losing over 100 lbs, I sure didn’t want to show any extra skin.
During the cold months it was easy to bundle up and hide my weight. I dreaded the approaching summer and the process of trying to lose 30 pounds before it got warm. But what I didn’t realize was that it was much easier to be healthy and lose wight over the course of a year, rather than working like a lunatic toward the end of every spring to lose those extra pounds.

I can recall back when I was a growing up my dad would try a variety of weight loss diets. I remember one in particular that my father was doing. I sat down at the table with my sister for some lunch and the food on his plate was absurd. Regardless, he ate it up like he was starving. And he probably was! Okay, enough jokes at my father’s expense.
