The Greater Good is one of my favorite blogs. Written by the fine folks at Berkeley, the blog is devoted to scientifically-based methods of living a happier, more fulfilled life. One such habit is fostering thankfulness.
Thankfulness
People who practice gratitude are more joyful, more compassionate and even physically healthier. What’s more, you don’t need to devote your life to hours of gratitude-based meditation to access these benefits. When it comes to gratitude, just a little bit goes a long way.
Here are five simple habits that will help you foster thankfulness:
1. Keep a gratitude journal.
2. Send handwritten thank you notes.
3. Practice mindfulness
4. Always find the silver lining.
5. Appreciate the little things.
