Dropping The Flab This Year Comes Down to This 1 Thing

Do you ever put pressure on yourself to lose a certain amount of weight or keep off what you’ve already lost? Without realizing it, we sometimes stress about our weight goals and fear any kind of mistake, failure or disappointment. The biggest reason we struggle to lose weight and keep it off is because of this toxic mentality.

To truly reach your goal weight and keep it off effortlessly, it takes a different kind of mindset. Coming from a place of peace, confidence and trust within yourself will free you from any kind of negative self-talk, distorted body image issues and potential sabotage. Creating an outlook that focuses on your desired outcome will help you let go of how or when you reach your goals. This puts you in control and allows you to enjoy life while the things you want come about.

The only thing you really have control over is your attitude and actions. For optimal weight loss and health results, your attitude should be one of love, gratitude and trust. That means you’re coming from this place in your thoughts and the words you speak. If you’re not already giving off this kind of vibe, it may be time to make a change. Remember, you’re either in control of your attitude or it’s controlling you.

Taking action is simple. The problem is that when your attitude is chronically negative, it’s not so easy to make progress. Procrastination shows up in the form of excuses, blame and “over-analyzing” things. That’s why it’s crucial your attitude is in the right place. Once you start taking action and consistently do things you know will help you reach your goals, eventually you get what you want. It doesn’t always happen when you want it to or how you envisioned it would, but you’ll be happy when it does.

Losing weight comes down to one simple thing: letting go. When you decide to let go and refuse to put pressure on yourself you’ll instead be motivated by possibilities and the vision you hold of what you want. You’ll have more fun and stress less. You may even find it annoying that weight comes off when life is so enjoyable, as opposed to when you were miserable and trying to “force” it off.

Try the route of letting go of all worries, frustration and anxiety around losing weight. Decide to change your attitude. Commit to taking action and never stopping until you reach your goal weight or the healthy place you want to be. Your body will give you what you want when you’re treating it well and not punishing it. And you may free up some extra time and brain power to enjoy life all the more.
