One of the keys to creating an at-home spa experience is creating a relaxing atmosphere. Dim the lights, light scented candles (lavender is known for its relaxing aromatherapy benefits), and put on some soothing tunes.
Be sure to block out all distractions like your smartphone, computer or anything else that might prevent you from forgetting about your worries and the outside world in general.
Create a calming bath
Add relaxing essential oils as the water is running. Some of the best for relaxation include lavender, chamomile, bergamot, frankincense, rose and sandalwood. Avoid artificial perfumes and fragrances as they can be toxic, causing irritation. In addition, they do not provide the same relaxing qualities as essential oils.

Now is the time to enjoy some of your favorite relaxing activities, but avoid watching TV or browsing the web. You might go outside and get some fresh air, take a walk and enjoy the scenery, meditate, read a book, or even take a nap.
